I was seen at the practice yesterday for a same day emergency appointment. I'm sure that working in any out of hours / emergency health-care practice can be stressful and challenging, however the service I received from the reception lady, Dr Riaz and Dental Nurse Lisa was more efficient, empathetic, and prompt than my last prescheduled GP appointment! Within an hour of my appointment time, I had been diagnosed and treated and given clear aftercare instructions. The team were so kind and had excellent 'bedside manner' even when I was feeling nervous and dizzy at one point. With the practice being private, the consultation fee was actually lower than my regulat dentist charges for an emergency appointment also, and the payment plan on treatment was very helpful. I was really dreading seeking emergency dental care, and was in a lot of pain. I'm so glad to have been seen my the team at Night and Day, they helped so much.

Great experience - well as great as an emergency dentist can be. I had severe toothache starting on a Friday afternoon and was desperate for help. After searching around, I found Night and Day Emergency Dentist in Preston, and I am so glad I did. I called at 8:45 pm and was told I could be seen immediately. Dr. Hamza (hope I’ve spelled that correctly) and his assistant Ella were outstanding. I am a very nervous patient, and despite asking many questions, Dr. Hamza remained calm, patient, and reassuring throughout. Ella was incredibly kind and even let me hold her hand while I was given the injection before the extraction. The entire process was smooth, professional, and far better than I expected for an emergency visit. I would 100% recommend this place to anyone in need of urgent dental care. Five stars.

Would 100% highly recommend when it comes to emergency dental care. I didn’t have a dentist and found night and day emergency dentist online. Rang up consultation and treatment was also done. The next day following treatment a member of staff contacted myself to see if I was doing okay after treatment. All staff were very helpful and professional. Definitely will be using their service a lot more for dental emergencies.

We are available for appointments 24 hours a day. While our standard operating times are between 7am and 11pm, we can still see you at anytime you like and are more than happy to book patients in 24 hours a day.
For appointments outside of our standard operating hours, we do charge a call out fee to be seen.
Please note:
The call out fee does include the cost for the consultation, X-rays and first line of treatment required to get you out of pain for one tooth. Treatments included can be complex extractions, composite fillings or even the first stage of a root canal to get you out of pain.

If you’re in pain, it’s an emergency. You can also visit our emergency dentist if you have chipped, cracked or knocked out a tooth. We also help patients who have lost fillings, crowns, veneers or bridges. If you’ve broken or lost your denture, this is also an emergency. Warm salt water rinses are very useful if you have swelling or some sort of infection, as salt water is a natural antiseptic and can reduce pain. Another temporary measure is taking over the counter painkillers, such as paracetamol or ibuprofen, as this will slightly reduce any pain. Always consult with a professional before taking any medication.
Most people suffer from dental pain at night as blood flow to the head increases when you lie down to sleep. This causes pain from the swelling to increase. To help manage this pain, we recommend seeing a dentist as soon as possible to diagnose the issue with X-rays and create a treatment plan.
Unfortunately, toothache is not classed as a life threatening emergency so they will not be able to treat you. However, if you have any swelling that is affecting your ability to breathe, then we advise you to visit A&E.

If you are arriving by bus, we are around a 5-minute walk from the Corstorphine Road (A8) bus stops, which are served frequently by the 12, 26, 31, and Airlink 100.
